Welcome to Caledon Dance Academy, where passion meets excellence in dance education. Founded and operated by a team of dedicated professionals, Caledon Dance Academy strives to provide a nurturing environment for dancers of all ages to thrive and achieve their fullest potential.

Sandra Macri & Katie Purdy began working together 12 years ago, forming both a strong partnership and friendship through their shared passion for dance. Bringing over 20 years of combined experience in training dancers and running a studio, they opened the doors of Caledon Dance Academy in Caledon East almost 7 years ago.

Since then, they’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with so many wonderful families from Caledon East and surrounding communities, and they look forward to welcoming even more through their doors in the years ahead. Sandra & Katie remain dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where students can grow to their fullest potential while building self-confidence.

Katie completed her education at George Brown College in the Dance Program and went on to receive her Teaching Qualifications and Associate Degree with the Cecchetti Society of Canada through the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program. She is eager to continue sharing her love of dance and inspiring the youth of Caledon East.

Sandra graduated from Sheridan College in Business and Accounting and grew up competing in dance herself. Drawing on both her business background and lifelong dance training, she has successfully managed studios in the past and is proud to continue doing so in her own community.

Together, Sandra & Katie bring a unique balance of creativity, experience, and business knowledge. Their shared vision is to see Caledon Dance Academy continue to thrive as a place where dancers feel inspired, supported, and part of something truly special.
